Yabi Chiefs Warn Public to Stop encroaching their Cemetery, Water-logged areas

Chiefs of Yabi in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region are warning people building houses, stores etc. in water ways and encroaching their cemetery with properties to put a stop.

According to them, recent flooding in the area is as a result of buildings in water logged areas.

Prior to this, they have served a notice to all to quench from any activity at their cemetery and riverside else government and NADMO officials will be called to demolish all properties.

In an interview the media some of the Chiefs said, owners of the buildings on the river side should all present their permit to them. Failure to do so will see their wrath.

According to Nananom, they realized after touring the community that, people have been building houses in water area with no plan and without their consent.

The concern Chiefs are therefore appealing to their people to produce their legal documents if not their will seek clearance and pull all those buildings down.
