FREE SHS NOW NDC's HEADACHE – DIRECTOR
Director for Public Sector
Reform, Mr. Thomas Kusi Boafo says the fearful thing currently for the
Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is Free Senior School policy
introduced by the government of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.
According to Mr. Boafo, the policy has
killed the libido of the largest opposition party, NDC hence finding ways and
means to paint it black in the eyes of the general public.
Former President Mahama has insisted
that he will review the government’s flagship free-shs policy within his first
90-days in office if elected in the 2020 general elections.
He noted that he will engage relevant stakeholders to ensure that the policy is bettered.
According to him, the current government did not listen to him on countless occasions as he said that a consultative and stakeholders meeting needed to be arranged to fashion out how best and efficiently to implement the free senior high school.
He however promised not to turn his back to private basic schools when back to power. “The NDC shall ensure that all issues raised which are feasible and doable will be factored into the NDC manifesto,” he said.

But the Director of Public
Sector Reforms sees the comment as sardonically attempt to lure shallow minded
people.
He said Ghanaians should
always memorize the days of Mr. Mahama in government with his bad policies that
killed the economy and juxtapose it to that of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo’s
important policies.
“You claim to have started
Free Senior High School, why didn’t you review it but now…” Mr. Kusi Boafo
quizzes.
