Minority have no reason to kick against Agyapa Royalties deal-Joe Wise
The flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. John Dramani Mahama, has questioned the basis for the agreement between the government and a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) company, Agyapa Royalties Limited.
He said despite the Minority’s objection to it, the Majority in Parliament went ahead to sanction the agreement, which he described as a deal shrouded in secrecy.
A statement signed by the Campaign Spokesperson, Mr.
James Agyenim-Boateng, said Mr. Mahama raised the concerns while addressing
supporters of the NDC at Dzodze as part of his four-day tour of the Volta
Region.
Reacting to this, the Member of
Parliament for Bekwai Constituency who doubles as the 1st Deputy Speaker
of Parliament, Hon Joseph Osei-Owusu, aka Joe Wise in an interview with Nana
Ampratwum on Silver fm Omanbapa morning show said, the Minority in Parliament
does not have any question against the Agyapa Royalties deal.
According to him, they had the right
to ask questions about the deal before it was agreed but such thing didn’t
happened.
On the Coalition Cars and Spare
Parts dealers Association decision to embark on a demonstration tomorrow, this
is what he said…
