Tipokrom; Residents Decry lack of basic amenities
Residents of Tipokrom in the Asunafo North have expressed concern about the total neglect of the provision of social amenities for the people in the area.
Narrating their ordeal in an exclusive interview with our reporter, Yakubu James, the residents lamented over the failure to get their share of the national cake in terms of road networks, water and school blocks.
According to them, road networks linking the town to other communities are in dire state which needs urgent attention (construction).
They disclosed that the poor nature of the road sometimes contributes to the untimely demise of most pregnant women in the community.
Not excluding the scarcity of water in the area, the frustrated locals revealed that, the community with over 1000s of inhabitants has only a single borehole making life unbearable for them.
They also touched on the lack of school blocks for students creating fear for the future of the community as it is known that, “Education is the Backbone of Every Nation”
Hon. Bright Kusi-the Assembly Member of the area confirmed that, several efforts to reach the powers that be for solution to their problems have all proven futile.
