Youthful Population in Africa contributes to low Deaths from COVID 19- Health Advisor

Health Advisor has revealed that, the youthful population in Africa is one of the major factor contributing low deaths from COVID 19 amongst.

He mentioned factors such as weather, climate, intensity of the sun, environment etc. contribute to our resistance to the deadly virus in some instances.

According to him, so far, Ghana has been very successful in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.   

Dr. Anthony Nsiah Asare, the Presidential Advisor on Health was speaking to Lov’n C on Ghana Ho Nkomo on Silver FM 98.3MHz.

Meanwhile, a report by Ghana Election Poll suggests that, most Ghanaians favour a full reopening of schools with social distancing and masks in place.

The question fielded was what Ghanaians would have preferred in terms of the reopening of schools in September in the light of the spread of coronavirus. 42 percent want schools to open with social distancing and masks; 26 percent want an opening of school combined with physical and remote learning and 12 percent want schools to be fully remote. 10 percent want schools to reopen fully as usual and 10 percent "don't know".

Reacting to this, The Presidential Advisor said Government will not bow to any form of pressure from any angle and rick the lives of people especially students but will only follow experts guidelines to deal with the situation for a better future.
