Kejetia traders lament over unfair payment of electricity bills
Some traders at the Kumasi Kejetia market are lamenting bitterly over unfair payment of electricity tariff.
Speaking to Silver fm’s reporter, Akwadaa Nyame they stated that, they are using solar lights in the market and doesn’t need to pay any electricity bill.
According to them, the only thing they were made to pay was the waste and the security.
One of them lamented that, she uses only lights but pays an amount of 100ghc electricity bill.
They added that, their lights will be disconnected if they fail to pay the electricity bill.
They noted that, the authorities have abused the terms and conditions the two parties approved.
They revealed that, these authorities have given space to some street hawkers who trade in same goods which makes them run at a loss.
