STOP TAKING CASES TO COURT JUST FOR FUN – NAT’L ADR COORDINATOR advices
The National Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Coordinator for Judicial Service Staff who doubles as JUSSAG President, Mr. Alex Nartey is calling on Ghanaians to avoid resorting to court at all times to settle their disputes.
He said, the citizenry blames the court for delay in judgement but forgotten that, resorting to the court for settlement of any mere issue which can be settled by the ADR department hijacks court proceedings thus taking years for some matters to be given final verdict.
Mr. Alex Nartey revealed that, some persons just send their case to court just for fun adding that such cases can be handled and resolved through the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
He elaborated that, the ADR department of the Judicial Service is to help relief the court from heavy load therefore urging the people to always consider consulting the ADR for settlement in some case without wasting court’s time.
He said this will help the court speed the delivery of justices if Ghanaians adhere and resort to ADR henceforth for resolution of some conflict without going to court.
Mr. revealed on Silver FM morning show to Nana Ampratwum that, some cases have been in the court for over 28 yrs and some 40 yrs which can be solved within just some few months by the ADR Department.
