SACK AMOAH AWUKU - CHIEFS PLEAD AKUFFO ADDO

The Chiefs of Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality of the Ashanti Region have asked the President, Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo to axe their Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Amoah Awuku.

The Chiefs led by Bafour Owusu Afriyie (II), the Otumfuo Abrafuohene said, they cannot work with disobedient and underperformer Chief Executive hence calling on the President the government not dare maintaining him.

They ascerted to the fact that, the government within the last Four (4) years has marvelously done well for the good people of the country but singled out their MCE as the worst MCE.

They said the seeming culture of silence that has gained root in the Municipality must end now for people to voice out the bad things without fear of been side-lined in the party by the powers that be.

They added that, due to his poor performance, the Municipality lacks developmental projects.

They elaborated that the MCE has failed woefully and has misused the Internal Generated Funds (IGF) and cannot point out a single developmental project initiated by the IGF.

"He has failed and we are daring him to show a single project he has initiated through the IGF"

They disclosed that, aside his poor performance, Hon. Amoah Awuku also doesn't respect Traditional Leaders in the Municipality.

The custodians of the land have being neglected in the development of our land by him because of his corrupt attitude.

The Chiefs and Queens includes: Nana Yaw Akuoko , Otumfuo Assinhene, Obofuo Atwimakwaa Boakye-Dankwa, Gyankobaahene, Nana Agyenim Boateng, Otumfuo Wireduhene, Nana Owusu Appau, Asenemasohene, Bantama Gyasehene.

Others are Otumfuo Wiredu Hene, Nana Ama Takyia, Otumfouryere, Nana Akua Afriyie Owoabrempon, Fankyenebra Queen and the Chief of Abuakwa-Maakro, Bafour Owusu Afriyie II (Otumfuo Abrafuohene).

The Chiefs made their call during their visit to the President.
