OUR LIVES ARE IN DANGER-HEADMISTRESS CRIES OUT

Education is a key to success as said by many people. Also, education is a backbone of any country that aims at achieving greater things in the future with it youths, by giving them proper educational background and the needed tools that will aid them in learning.

But this is an alien for Kobeda No1, a farming community in the Kintampo North Municipality of the Bono East Region.

The people are complaining bitterly about the deplorabel state of their Basic school which is now death-trap for the pupils.

The Headmistress of the school, Mad. Fati Seidu disclosed on Omanbapa Morning Show the poor state of the school adding that it is making learning and teaching unbearable.

She explained further to Nana Kwabena Ampratwum, host of the show that, part of the roofs of the school blocks has been riped off for the past ten years without any help.

She added that, when rain start drizzling, school must close compulsory and compel students to stay home.

Furthermore, She said the school lacks furniture.

She revealed that, government has not given them chairs for the past for years. Due to this, parents are obliged to buy chairs for their wards to aid them to study.

I have written several letters to the Education Directorate in the Municipality but to no avail.

"A lot of efforts have been made to the Municipality specifically the MCE to get their situation rectified but proved futile", Madam Fati sadly told Ampratwum during the interview.

She is therefore appealing the government, NGO,s, affluent individuals to help.
