LYDIA OSEI CHARITY FOUNDATION DONATES TO BEKWAI DESTITUTE HOME

LYDIA OSEI CHARITY FOUNDATION DONATES TO BEKWAI DESTITUTE HOME*

The Asante-Bekwai Central Destitute Infirmary, which currently serves over 32 destitute persons, has for over Sixty Four (64) years seen no renovation.

The infirmary which is the only place in the Ashanti region catering for the aged is in immediate need of rehabilitation because it is appalling to see the condition these aged are in.

The inmates are at the mercy of corporate and individual sponsorship for survival.

The infirmary since its establishment has seen no improvement.

The infirmary caters for destitute people in the society, thus, those whose relatives cannot be traced in the society.
The building and the facilities at the home have deterioted.

The feeding of inmates has been their major challenge.

For over 21 years the funding of the infirmary has been very poor. And due to the financial difficulties, inmates are not being fed as expected.

Following this, *Lydia Osei Charity Foundation in Kumasi* has reached out to the home by providing inmates with toileteries, bags of rice, bags of sugar, cooking oil, tubers of yam, carten of milk, used clothes, meat, vegetables, drinks, money among other items for inmates to enjoy and feel part of the society.

Speaking *Silver FM's FILASCO DEGENERAL*, the *CEO* of the *LYDIA OSEI CHARITY FOUNDATION, MAAME LYDIA* said the move was to help solve the feeding difficulties for inmates and make life easy for them.

*MAA LYDIA* who has been to the home over 8x called on other associations to reach out to the home.
