AHENEMA KOKOBEN FLOOD: ONE PERSON FOUND DEAD*

One person has been found dead today following the flooding at Ahenema Kokoben, a suburb of Kumasi yesterday's night.

Three persons were missing following the flooding.

There was a torrential rains in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital which left section of the Metropolis flooded.

The three persons who got missing last night were part of a group who joined a KIA truck to cross the river but jumped off from the bucket of the vehicle when they noticed a pull of the truck by the flooding. 

But just this evening, a search party mostly residents found a young man believed to be in his early 20s dead beneath the swamp of the river meters away from where they were pulled off by the flooding last night.

The body of the deceased has since been removed from the river and conveyed by the police of Kokoben.

Meanwhile, residents are blaming the poor construction and building in waterways for the flood. 

This is the second time the area has flooded this year. Other areas of the city witnessed similar incidents such as Nhyiaeso where a forty year old man was nearly drown if not the immediate intervention of some passers.
