GHANA NURSES, MIDWIVES TRAINING ASSOCIATION BEGIN THEIR STRIKE TODAY
The Ghana Nurses and Midwives Training Association of Ghana (GNMTA) has signaled that, the Association will strike tomorrow, October 1, 2021.
Speaking to the Programs and Project Secretary on Silver FM's Omanbapa Morning Show, he said Government owes them Eight (8) months allowances.
According to him, they work with Midwives and Nurses in the various hospitals but works more harder than the senior staffs.
He added that government is owing some of their colleagues Twenty (20) months arrears and is showing no signs of paying.
He continued that, the government is not wholely committed to paying the allowances pledged them.
"The government is not even paying the allowances he promised us. We beg him to fulfill his promise", the Programs and Project Secretary, Akwasi Agyei said.
He entreated the general public to speak on their behalf and beg government to pay the amount due them.
