JHS STUDENT, 15, ARRESTED FOR KILLING SHS STUDENT
Police in Kokofu says, Solomon Nimako, 15 has been arrested in connection with the murder of Richard to assist investigation.
Richard Kofi Appiah, a Final year student of Oppong Memorial Senior High School (OMESS) at Kokofu near Bekwai of the Ashanti Region was stabbed to death by group of young men in the Kokofu township.
Richard and colleagues unlawfully went out from campus to Kokofu town at night to have some fun but brawl ensued between them and some youths in the community.
Through the scuffle, his attacker, Solomon Nimako (suspect) broke bottle and pierced his loins. He bled profusely and collapsed.
He was rushed to the Bekwai Government for treatment but unfortunately "gave up his ghost".
The body has been kept at the facility's morgue for autopsy and preservation.
According to the police the suspect is assisting investigation to arrest the other suspects.
The Assembly Member of the Kokofu electoral area, Hon. Peprah K. Richard confirmed this on Silver FM'S morning show dubbed OMANBAPA hosted by Nana Ampratwum.
