SINCE 2017 WE'VE NOT RECEIVE OUR ALLOWANCES-GHS wail....


The Ghana Health Service Workers Union branch in the Ashanti Region have threatened to embark on strike if government fails to address their conditions of service.

The Union says they have been treated unfairly by their employer and left with no option rather than embarking on a demonstration which will be followed by strike if their needs are not met.

They demanding for better conditions of service.

They disclosed that since 2017 their uniform allowance, fuel, risk, accommodation, books, and research allowances have not been paid.

They said, the failure on the part of the government to pay these allowances he noted has brought untold hardship on their members.

Chairman of the Association, Gyamfi Osei Emmanuel speaking to the issue on Silver FM's Omanbapa Morning Show said they are disappointed in the government over their uncalled for treatment.

"We want our allowances paid or we will lay down our tools in the coming days", Chairman Gyamfi stressed.
