SUSPECT COMMITS SUICIDE IN PRISON:FAMILY SUSPECT FOWL PLAY

The family of the Twenty Two (22) year old Akwasi Tawuah who allegedly hanged himself to death in prison is suspicious of fowl play in the instances that led to the strange death of the boy.

The family has thrown into a state of shock after hearing the incident.

It follows the untimely demise of their beloved Akwasi Tawuah, 22, who according to police report committed suicide inside the Daatano police cells in Manso Adubia District of the Ashanti Region.

The Abusuapanyin of the family, Mr. Kwaku Ketewa confirmed the sadden incident on Silver FM this morning adding that, the reason given by the police sounds so strange and disbelief to them hence their call for help and justice.

Agya Kwaku said, the most painful is how the police sent the supposed dead body to a morgue without the family's consent.

He elaborated that, the weird action of the security agency depicts a fowl play in the death of their son.

"We don't belief our relative committed suicide as been speculated by the police. We need more clarification of the matter so we want the media and Ghana as a whole to help us to get justice", the family head, Mr. Ketewa stressed on Omanbapa Morning Show on Silver FM.

Meanwhile, several attempts to get the police side of the story has proven futile.

The District Police Commander of Manso Adubia, ASP Felix Akowuah and the Ashanti Regional Crime Officer, Officer Adubi Commander and the Ashanti regional crime officer, ACP Akwasi Cosmos have refused to comment on the matter.
