Poor diet kills more than Heart-Attack

Poor diet kills a lot of people than heart related diseases.
“According to research, poor diet kills more people than heart attack”, A Clinical Nutritionist at Prince Emmanuel Clinic, Dr. Ben Nuako has said.

Poor eating habits include under- or over-eating, not having enough of the healthy foods we need each day, or consuming too many types of food and drink, which are low in fibre or high in fat, salt and/or sugar.

A poor diet can lead to energy imbalance (e.g., eating more calories than your body uses) and can increase the risk of becoming overweight or obese. A poor diet can increase the risk for lung, esophageal, stomach, colorectal, and prostate cancers.

However Dr. Ben Nuako has advised Ghanaians to desist from taking in too much sugary and fatty food as can shortens one’s life.
