Rawlings Death; Blacks are Hypocrites – Kwaku Adu Gyamfi fumes
A veteran journalist in the republic of Ghana, Mr. Kwaku Adu Gyamfi has scolded Africans over the former President, Jerry John Rawlings’s demise.
According to the Former News Editor of Silver FM, blacks are hypocrites and it is about high time we appreciate the works of the living and stop praising the dead.
The Ashanti Regional Secretary of the Ghana National Association of Small Scale Miners (GNASSM) disclosed that, Ghanaians bashed the former President (J.J) when he was alive.
He added that majority of the people blacked all the activities of the deceased but the same people are reacting to his death as if he was ‘JESUS’ and have posited everything done by the former ruler of the nation, Ghana.
“I’m shocked how most Africans particularly Ghanaians are extolling praises on the Former President and his activities. The same chastised him as the devil of all time in the history of Ghana because of some happenings during his reign as leader of the state in the military junta.
I think is about time Africans change and embrace the good works of the living than talking good about their departure”, Mr. Gyamfi fumed.
Mr. Rawlings who was the First President under the
Fourth Republic passed away Thursday morning at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital
in Accra.
Jerry John Rawlings was born on 22 June 1947 and was a
former Ghanaian military leader and subsequent politician who ruled the country
from 1981 to 2001 and also for a brief period in 1979. He led a military junta
until 1992, and then served two terms as the democratically elected President
of Ghana.
