VERY SAD: ONE DEAD AFTER POLICE CLASHED WITH RESIDENTS

Information available on my desk indicates that, one person, Kwame Owusu, 52 has lost his life during a clash which ensued between the Morro Market Police and residents of Adwumakase Kesse last night.

Meanwhile two persons are in critical condition at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after the confrontation between police and the residents of Adwumakaase-Kese in the Afigya Kwabre South District of the Ashanti Region.

There was disagreement between the police and the residents on Thursday, February 25 after the inhabitants of Adwumakaase-Kese prevented the Chief of Bomfa from erecting a signpost following a boundary dispute.

The police in the ensuing confrontation allegedly shot live bullets into the crowd wounding two residents who are currently battling for their lives at KATH and killing one.

Confirming the incident on OMANBAPA MORNING SHOW , the Assembly Member of Adwumakase Kesse, Hon. Rexford Mintah disclosed that, the police was allegedly sent to the town by the Chief of Bomfa.

He said after the pronouncement of the sadden information, the town has now turned into mad-ground dwelling only on the intervention of the Chief of Adwumakaase-Kesse community, Nana Asenso Kuffour Ababio, to calm the residents as they threatened to attack the Chief of Bomfa and his people as retaliation.
