MEN! PLAY WITH THE BooBs: DR. ADVICES*

Dr. Ishmael Kyei, Cancer Specialist at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), has advised fondling of the females breasts by their partners.

According to him, this will help prevent breast cancer and create awareness. He lumps can be seen with regular massaging of the breast.

Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body.

These contrast with benign tumors, which do not spread. Possible signs and symptoms include a lump, abnormal bleeding, prolonged cough, unexplained weight loss, and a change in bowel movements.

While these symptoms may indicate cancer, they can also have other causes.

Over 100 types of cancers affect humans.

Tobacco use is the cause of about 22% of cancer deaths. Another 10% are due to obesity, poor diet, lack of physical activity or excessive drinking of alcohol.

Other factors include certain infections, exposure to ionizing radiation, and environmental pollutants. In the developing world, 15% of cancers are due to infections such as Helicobacter pylori, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, human papillomavirus infection, Epstein–Barr virus and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

These factors act, at least partly, by changing the genes of a cell. Typically, many genetic changes are required before cancer develops. Approximately 5–10% of cancers are inherited.

Touching on breast cancer during Studio interview, Dr. Ishmael Ishmael Kyei said, breast cancer is cancer that forms in the cells of the breasts.

After skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in women in Ghama.

Breast cancer can occur in both men and women, but it's far more common in women.

Substantial support for breast cancer awareness and research funding has helped created advances in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Breast cancer survival rates have increased, and the number of deaths associated with this disease is steadily declining, largely due to factors such as earlier detection, a new personalized approach to treatment and a better understanding of the disease.

Mentioning some few preventions, the specialist encouraged men to always play with their women breast but cautioned them to do it gently.

He also questioned men to play with their balls avoid testicular cancer.
