RITUAL KILLINGS: SATANIC, UNCULTURED CONTENTS ON THE MEDIA SPACE CONTRIBUTING HIGHLY.....

A security analyst, Professor Kwesi Aning has predicted that the rate of crime in the country will get worse by the day. His comments follow recent reports of robberies and murders across the country.

According to the Professor, crime has become a very profitable venture, as more and more people are engaging in it.

He has therefore warned that, until crime is disincentivized through stiff punishment, the situation will persist.

“We are unwilling and unprepared to deal with those who commit crime, especially if they are connected to power. Crime has become such a profitable venture in this country. Violence has become a currency with which those who are more violent have a much higher stand in society. We are going to see more of these", the Security Analyst stressed.

However, a Retired Lecturer of Ghana Technology University College, Accra, Nana Osei Piesie Antoh has opined that, these days’ satanic and uncultured contents in the media space especially on the televisions influence most of the desperate youths in the country to engage in crime activities for quick money.

Nana Osei Piesie Antoh who doubles as the Chief elect for Krom-Adwafo in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region said, the high unemployment rate amongst most youths in the country amounts these uncalled for activities.

He believes, Mallams, fake prophets etc. etc. inducing people to come for money are the main root.

Professor Osei Piesie Antoh sharing his taughts on the recent ritual killings in the country on Silver FM's Omanbapa Morning stressed that, " because most of our youths are unemployed, they are easily lured by these fake spiritualist and end up killing innocent residents".

Nana Antoh charged the authorities to ban those people from the airwaves.

"The government must creates more jobs for the youths to avert the saying, Satan gives work to the lazy hand", he told Nana Ampratwum-the host of program.
